Sorry, I think you closed this bug too quickly as invalid.

It's not the same issue like bug 36226, otherwise I wouldn't have posted it.

Claiming limited support for ATI and Nvidia graphic cards is not correct as the
d3d9 trick adds support for Intel GPUs. Even if it's more like an unofficial
hack it should work just fine.

The d3d9 trick works fine with the standalone version of Fallout 3 on OS X
under Wine. It only stopped working with the Steam version so the reasons for
this must be something else.

I am going to change the status back to Unconfirmed for a second look.
