I got one step further in installing WMP10 after installing dradio-Recorder
(and MP3 support):

winetricks wmp10

Now the stream is there, but has many holes (almost every second).  The
corresponding "notes" in the terminal output are:

Note: Illegal Audio-MPEG-Header 0x00fffb92 at offset 9689511.
Note: Trying to resync...
Note: Skipped 1 bytes in input.

Every now and then I get:

[layer3.c:454] error: big_values too large!
[layer3.c:479] error: Blocktype == 0 and window-switching == 1 not allowed.
[layer3.c:1928] error: bad frame - unable to get valid sideinfo
