This bug is hard to check due to the hardware requirements. After looking for
more information I found this page

It looks like a bunch of driver fixes should be in Linux 4.6. Maybe it is worth
trying a newer kernel. With some luck the problem may not be in Wine.

Specially because the ghost entries will no longer be present, so if there is
only one joystick there should be only one event/js entry connected.
