I filed this bug for the installation of service packs as updates to an
installed Office 2010. I just retested in 1.9.0, and no longer get the error
message at the end, so I'm marking this fixed. 

If you still have problems installing your version of Office 2010 in 1.9.0,
file a new bug for that.
