Are you aware at all that wine is now using version 2.x for stable and
development is currently 2.8. 

If you are using 1.7 series, you are using really old wine.

And the CSMT patches or some part of them are already included in wine, you
just need to enable a registery key for it. The patches are in wine-staging and
you can simply activate the patches from wincfg with checkbox no need to setup
a registery key manually.
