It should be just fine now. But that sounds a lot like a workaround. I am not
saying they don't have a real fix for this, but I think it should work more out
of box. 

Has this bug improved meanwhile? CMST patches (or some part of them) are in
wine, disabled by default. Does anyone have a clue what causes those slowdowns
in wine?
