> Does the bug still occur with wine-4.0-rc1?
Yes, still present on just released wine-4.0. When running, the error message
shoes that my card is detected as AMD Radeon HD 8770 (VendorID: 0x1002 ;
DeviceID: 0x665C)
When adding (or restoring) to the RegEdit an following keys:
VideoPciDeviceID: 402 (Hexadecimal) ; VideoPciVendorID: 10de (Hexadecimal)
, game starts just fine. NOTE, that it is data for nVidia GeForce 8600GT.
Current system and session details:
$ loginctl show-session 2 -p Type
Type=x11
$ cat /etc/fedora-release
Fedora release 29 (Twenty Nine)
$ wine --version
wine-4.0 (Staging)
$ inxi -Gxxx
Graphics:
Device-1: AMD Bonaire XT [Radeon HD 7790/8770 / R7 360 / R9 260/360 OEM]
vendor: ASUSTeK driver: radeon v: kernel bus ID: 01:00.0
chip ID: 1002:665c
Display: x11 server: Fedora Project X.org 1.20.3 driver: radeon
compositor: gnome-shell v: 3.30.2 resolution: 1920x1080~60Hz
OpenGL:
renderer: AMD BONAIRE (DRM 2.50.0 4.20.3-200.fc29.x86_64 LLVM 7.0.0)
v: 4.5 Mesa 18.2.8 compat-v: 4.4 direct render: Yes
I will reboot and re-test with admgpu driver.
Also updating the title to include 8xxx series untill owner of actual AMD
Radeon HD 8xxx reports differently. I believe that there are some weird issue
where the DirectX assets are not properly negotating the supported DirectX
version. sUPPRTED api COMPARSION:
