Not true, here's what Hidenori wrote (WWN #122):

"My all MultiMedia codes are completely written from scratch.
No disassembling.
I believe there are no legal issues.

He asked for it to be removed, I think Alexandre is right
in not distributing it.  I'm not sure Gav ever got permission
to redistribute with WineX.  The last thing I remember seeing
from him was they asked for permission but hadn't received a
reply.
