[GDI] GetObject fails on buffer=NULL

I'm not going to have time to do this for a while.  I think the changes
would be relatively simple, but Im leaving town for three weeks tomorrow
afternoon so until then I won't be able to look at this.

Someone else want to adjust the patch appropriately to satisfy Alexandre's
request?
