I'm not the original person, but I also have this problem with the
latest CVS wine:

	[dave at tc4 ~/wine]$ grep uxthe ~/.wine/config
	[dave at tc4 ~/wine]$ wine
	Segmentation fault

This is on Slackware 9.0, Linux 2.6.0-test7.
