Starcraft vs. fullscreen

These lines could explain why Starcraft is unable to switch to fullscreen:

I seem to remember that BPP cannot be changed _at all_ with XRandR, is
this correct?

If it is, then the obvious thing to do is to leave BPP alone and just
change to the correct resolution.

What needs fixing here?
