I agree, the current version of BugZilla is a bit dated.  With a proper
backup (or test) server in place, and given the proper privileges, I'd be
happy to upgrade the installed version, however it may take a little bit of
time to do because of time constraints.

I haven't personally noticed an increase in spam since signing up for
BugZilla, but that may just be because I get tons of spam anyways, but
regardless, the features in the newer versions do make it a worthwhile
effort.
