I have Just downloaded and installed a very nice<span
style="font-family: monospace;"> </span>"forms" System. It took me 1
minutes to download and 10 minuets to install (Including reading the
documentation). It has lots of advantages over the <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://phorum.org/">http://phorum.org/</a>
system. With e-mail getaways chats and more. Have a look at:<br>

Same dependency on Apache-PHP-MySQL. Same no-brainer dropin. And GPLed.<br>

The gateway is a dead issue. Back in the day it was pretty nifty to get
listed on USENET. Unfortunately newsgroups these days are a mess, and
IMO should go away. I intend to not look into it any further.

The software I mentioned to Jer that we could implement is
Phorum. <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://phorum.org/">http://phorum.org/</a> I've played with it in the past,
and integrating it into the current site is dead easy.
As far as slashcode goes, we already have a news system. all someone
needs to do is submit articles to be posted. Just submit a patch to
wine-patches in the news XML format I use, and I will most likely add
it.
