correct loop check for enum display and include 32bit modes in 24bit

Ok, I've attached the patch this time, I've also given
it another check and a bit later on in directx.c 24bit
and 32bit modes are counted together so I think this
is the correct thing to do.

I'm not going to resend the TRACE -> FIXME patch I'm
