explorer: detect which graphics driver we are using

This patch depends on my prior patch

Changelog:
- Shameless rip the graphics driver detection from user
  to spare a bunch of ifdefs.
- Move get_default_desktop_size to the header with the
  graphics driver loading as this code may be reworked later
- inline both in a petty attempt to gain a couple of
  cycles lost in registry reading and pattern matching
