I've attached the basic unit test I wrote for this functionality
when I was trying to implement it myself. I'm glad I found something
shiny to play with instead, so we didn't duplicate any work.

Slightly modified from last time I posted it, it now passes with
the above patch applied. I can also confirm it fixes the Warhammer
Online rendering bug 14608.
