Unmodified resend since the last version got stuck in a discussion.

I haven't gotten a reply to my question about the spec, but on mac-opengl I got a link to this:


This is not the GL specification either, but the SPECviewperf benchmark is one of the most important GL benchmarks, so I think sticking to their reading of the GL specification is reasonable.
