Installation of Office 97 under WINE?

I tried to install Office 97 under WINE.
It stops with "Can`t open File: x:\~MSSETUP-T\~msstffof.t\Off97Pro.stf"
Obviously, WINE can´t create this file.

Path Temp is c:\tmp
Originally X was assigned to /tmp
I changed it to ~/.wine/fake_windows/tmp

But it still doesn´t work.
What to do?
