OF1R too slow

Hi, I run Official F1 racing wih wine-20010418-

Everything is working very well, but it runs way to slow.
I´m sure this is not related to my machine being too slow,
because the frame-rate seems to be guite good.
It just seems, that the "skip" (Don´t know if that is the right
expression
as I am not a native speaker but I hope you know what I mean.)
between the frames is way too small.

Did anyone else have this problem, maybe with other games, and managed
to fix this?
