I think that the problem is the win2k partition and more exactly the
win2k support by Wine; probably nothing to do with Mandrake 8 ;-)

Wine installer says that you can't use fully your win2k
installation - that may be correct or not; even if it's true, you
may still try to use  Wine without it.
