Help running Caesar 3

I have the exact same problem as you. I'm sorry that I don't have a solution 
for it. I would just like to ask a question. When C3 stops at the soldier 
picture, what do you do? I mean how do you get out of it? The only solution 
I've come up with is to press Ctrl+Alt+Backspace.
