[Fwd: RedHat 7.0, Wine and Matlab: a fontproblem??]

Hello,

I tried to run Matlab (version 6.0.0.88 Release 12, Win98) on
my Redhat 7.0 machine using codeweavers-wine version 20010112.

Wine seems to work fine when I tested some simple Windows
applications: notepad, freeceel, wordpad, calculator...
Word and Excel however only show the welcome window and crash
immediately afterwards before the real Word/Excel-window should
appear.

Matlab seems to start up fine: I get the welcome window and
the Matlab Window is shows up afterwards. I can navigate through
the menus, open a 'open-file'-dialogue etc.. but in the main
window I only see a cursor: the text that should appear seems
invisible. And when I type the cursor moves but there doesn't happen
anything.. the things I type seem invisible too. It seems that
the font that Matlab is using in those windows is not available
(the font of the menus however and standard dialogues work fine). 

I also noticed that wine spawns about 15 processes and eats a 
tremendous amount of my memory (which however is no problem).

Use "printer=on" in the "[wine]" section to enable it.
