The breakage was a result of the DirectDraw restructuring that happened when 
our 2D code was submitted to WineHQ.  This is fixed in the current AFPL-ed 
TransGaming patch, but it hasn't made it back into WineHQ yet due to some 
CVS trouble we're having.
