Why I can't ICMP ping under wine?

Hi, All!

I have a program that monitors hosts on network...
(it's simply pings thoose hosts via ICMP)

Who knows, why wine sad on every ping:
'WARNING: Trying to use ICMP will fail unless running as root'
....
'$wine c:\\windows\\ping.exe x.x.x.x' - the same warning :(
'$ping x.x.x.x' - works well ....

& I don't want to run it under root ...

Who knows how to solve it?
