wine and no sound

ok so i woke up this mornigng ant he ither day i was thinking " won't it be
great when they make wine easy to use"

so i look on the site and it has been done, i get it up and running easy
peasy, but the only things i can get running are solitaire and quake 2.

nothing else and the quake 2 has no sound, i played with the kmixer but
still no sound so i dunno what to do!
should i load all the dlls into the wineconfig i searched them and for
windows there are like 2000 if them, is a lot and they each have to be put
in by hand.

will i be able to use my winmodem under linux now?

is totally cool program though, butneeds much work. i am gonna run all my
apps then send them the log of failures, but maybe i am doing something
wrong, cos i read that it runs most and i can only get two going.

has anyone had any luck with running cool edit pro through wine?
