"Obviously not"? Why not? There's no reason why games shouldn't be as fast
(or faster!) under Wine than under real Windows. This particular game
isn't, though, and the reason has been researched and found to be related
to unexpected game behaviour wrt mutexes, and a few optimizations have
been proposed and outlined, though not implemented yet.

Alice doesn't use Direct3D. It's a pure OpenGL game.
