mouse problem with 'standard' Windows program

Dear all,

I have SuSE 7.3, wine20010731, XFree86 4.1.0

After starting a standard 'Windows' application (which was WenLin2
demo, and which I had previously run under an older version of Wine
and an older version of XFree) the mouse doesn't work properly,

After clicking on the scroll bar, the scroll bar just keep on heading
down (or up as the case may be), even after I have let go of the left
mouse button.

Similarly, clicking inside the text window (which is a text editor
type window), I can't stop 'selecting' text, as the window manager
doesn't recognize that I have let go of the left mouse button.

Any idea how I can stop this? The same problem happened when I was
using Mandrake 8.0! (with a similar version of XFree86 and wine)

Cheerio, David.
