I have two systems that I've just upgraded to Wine 20010824 (tried
20011004 but Notes would not run) and Cups 1.1.10. The system I asked
about works fine as far as wine is concerned. The printer problem in
question is due to Cups, not Wine. The other system will not recognize
the Cups printers properly. Lotus Notes complains that no Printers
selected and when I try to select a printer Notes complains that none
are available. Other Applications see the printer names but will not
actually allow me to print to them.
Everything worked well under Wine 20010731 and LPRng and also under Wine
20010824 with LPRng.
I've attached the output of --debugmsg +winspool and my Wine config file
My system is RedHat 7.1, KDE 2.2.1, XFree86 4.3, Cup 1.1.10 and
Wine-20010824.
Pentium III/800 192 MB Ram
Cups does work with Corel Office 2000 and with my linux apps and Wine
20010731worked well with LPRng
