WINE doesn't exit completely

I have found that this is related to the splash screen not releasing. 
If you click on the splash screen as soon as it pops up, Notes will
die nicely upon exit.  If anyone knows of a way to make Notes execute
without a splash screen please let me know.  Thanks.
