I am shure: nothing relevant, or at least nothing i can remember relevant.
Please note, last time i run wine with success was yesterday afternoon,
almost i did nothing yo my linux this night.
Anyway, i got able to run wine again....
this is what i did:
1) completely removed any piece of wine (executables, librarties...) from
/usr/local
2) recompiled wine 20010824 and installed to /usr/local/wine.
3) did a configurations WITHOUT windows
result: nothing new.
So i took my OLD config file (the one before uninstalling everithing) and
substitued the new one whith this one (usiong an installed windows98 1ed)
result: it worked (!). I did a backup-copy of my .wine directory
next, i rebooted my machine and played Unreal Tournament under windows 98,
and after one hour i rebooter linux.
surprise! Wine doesnt work, same error!
So i deleted my .wine dir (deleting all config, *.reg, ecc ecc) and copied
back the saved copy of .wine...
surprise! now it works again...
i am a BIT confused! Mainly because i cannot point out the reason it behaves
like tihs...
Last, could you explain me what it is trying to do when it crashes?
bash-2.05# /usr/local/wine/bin/wine /win98/win98/sol.exe -winver win95

I had always recompiled from sources on my linux box, with glibc 2.2.3 + gcc
3.0.1 + kernel 2.4.9 + xfree 4.1.0. Everithing build by me.
The only rthing i did recently was running UnrealTournament windows version
(both on windows and on wine for testing) and UnrealTournament native linux
version, all on my 3DFX Voodoo2 hardware-accelerated.
