No driver found for Display

the "Assertion 'hdc' failed." means that your aplication/configuration is 
trying to use opengl.  if you installed this from a procompiled 
binary,rpm,tarball,,,, it won't work.  they will always have opengl disabled 
by default.  

if you want opengl to work, you have to build your own,  
time to get the source.
