Internet Explorer 5.5 Install

I'm currently trying to get Internet Explorer 5.0 or 5.5 installed.  I
have been successful in installing Microsoft OFfice 2000, however I
can't save any files or open any files, but in any case that is
installed.  WHen I try to run MS Access or Frontpage, it complains obout
IE not being installed.  Therefore, I'm trying to get it going.  When I
try to install Internet Explorer 5.0 from the Microsoft Office 2000 cd,
the wizard pops up and I accept the agreement.  I press next.  After
that, I see a bunch of windows pop-up and then go away real quick (as if
it were running something real quick).  I finally get an error that
says:

Setup was unable to install all the components.  Please close all
applications and try running Setup again.
