First you need to be able to run wine just by itself. If this works you have to
test every single app you want to use if it works. If not you have to find out
why or what it needs. The error messages or trace logs can help you or give
others a clue what's wrong. Then maybe you get further if you copy a dll
and tell wine to use this dll for this app. But just copying files doesn't help
at all. Even if you think this is best you would need to adjust the wine config
so the copied files get used. Otherwise they just lie there.
As you're already trying with SPSS make a trace and tell when the error
comes up. If the error happens already while loading the program you
should trace +file, +loaddll.
