Wine fails after trying to open a DIR on Redhat 9 DOSFS:OPENDIR

Im using Wine in my laptop with RH9, it works fine...

I installed it on m y desktop with RH9 too, but applicactions arent working,
even the notepad or regedit fails after trying to open a dir.

Debugging shows

an open dir function (DOSFS:OPENDIR ("/fake-windows")

Then fails withan RTLRAISEXCEPTION 

and then it shows other raise exeptions, then it fails  


Any sugestions
