wine app cannot open 'c' drive ??

I don't know then; it could well be a regression since this stuff seems 
to have undergone some recent changes. My best suggestion would be to 
give a fake Windows partition a try. If you mention what Wine you are 
using and where you got it, someone could probably tell you how to do that.
