language change

Unfortunately, while I was scrolling down the language list my finger 
slipped off the mouse at a most inopportune time.  Now everything seems 
to be written in arabic.  As I can't read arabic, I'm having 
considerable difficulty getting it back to english.  I tried removing 
and reinstalling, however it seems to remember anyway.
Any help would be most appreciated.
