[Wine]dot in homedir path hangs wine

Hi,

When I try to, for example, import a registry file from the graphical 
registry editor (regedit) wine freezes its
execution. The same happens when it tries to open the file selection 
dialog in general.

This happens in some cases when the usernames are formed by name.lastname. 
If the user directory does
not contain a "." the problem vanishes. (I can't change the usernames, 
they are AD users not managed by me)

Any pointer?
