[Wine]mcc18 install error

I am trying to run the FIRST Robotics compiler
on my linux box using wine. I am using the gentoo
stable ebuild - 20050111-r1

The program I am running is:
MPLAB-C18-Student-Edition-v2_40-win32.exe

When I try to run it I get an error from the installer:

"An internal error has occured attempting to create
the time stamp for MPLAB C18 v2.40 Demo.
Please contact Microchip for assistance. (Error
Code: )"

I have never used wine before, so hopefully it is just
something simple. Notepad and winemine work. The
installer seems to be working, but after it starts to
copy over the files it gives the error.

After the install, the install.log looks like ...
