[Wine]can't run bryce 5 on wine 20050725

In Linux, it is not called Setup.exe.  It's called Setup.  Oddly enough, 
if I insert the disk into a Windoze system, the file shows up in Windows 
Explorer as "Setup.exe"! Some other magic must be going on for Windoze 
to see the file with a different extension.
My etc/fstab includes the line:
/dev/cdrom /cdrom iso9660 ro,noauto,users,unhide 0 0

I tried "wine ./Setup.exe". There's no anything.exe, anywhere on the CD.
The Setup file is big, and binary, so it must be an executable.
The box that it came in says it's supposed to run on Win 98, Me, 2K, 
NT4-sp6, or XP.
TheBryce manual says you're supposed to run X:\setup.

I also tried copying the entire file system from the CD onto my hard 
drive and renaming Setup to Setup.exe.  I get the same result:
wine: cannot determine executable type for L"X:\\Bryce_5\\setup.exe"
(What's with the L"X..."?  What does the "L" stand for?)
