Hi, Andy--

First of all, what is the application?

Secondly, not to be "flip" but... just start the application with 
winefile. Meaning, why is this a problem? If your application is 
"special" in some way (as many applications are), perhaps this is its 
normal functioning (especially since it works without a problem when 
started in this way).

Without knowing what it is, it's hard to know one way or the other 
whether this is 'normal' or not.


You might also consider upgrading Wine.. you're using a 6-month old 
version, and 20050211 is available. Perhaps it will solve the issue, if 
this is in fact an issue (given that the program works perfectly when 
started with winefile, it may not be).
