Hmm.  Are you sure?

/etc/ld.so.conf is used by dynamic linker ld.so.

Files on /usr/local/lib/wine, I think are opened by wine with dlopen,
I think.  (ie. not opened by ld.so )

Guick look to libs/wine/loader.c shows that wine uses own search
patch for locating these.
