[Wine] latest wine .16 gets "The X11 driver is missing" error ?

The system is FC5. It builds and runs wine .14 w/o an issue. However 
when attempting to open an X app .16 errors with:

err:imagelist:ImageList_ReplaceIcon no color!
err:imagelist:ImageList_ReplaceIcon no color!
err:imagelist:ImageList_ReplaceIcon no color!
err:imagelist:ImageList_ReplaceIcon no color!
Application tried to create a window, but no driver could be loaded.
The X11 driver is missing.  Check your build!

What is different about .16 to cause this error?
