i took a look in /dev/ .. com1 is ttys0 (not S) ??

i have tried another software .. devserv and camclient ... both on the
self machine works perfekt .. i can control all funktion of the canon
VC-C1 - for the Sony i have found Zoneminder with integrated
VISCA-Protocoll- works also perfect.

i think the origin Software from Canon access direktly to UART16550.
