That's good news! As it happens, I saw this afternoon 0.9.25 was 
available in the gentoo portage tree so I installed it and ran this 
installer for fun. Now it gets further through the procedure that it 
used so, so there is progress.

Now to do a 12,537k downlaod to get the latest cvs :-)
