The fixme messages do not necessarily mean the application won't work. 
And looking through the thread, I don't see a mention of what is 
actually happening with the application. You could always try something 
like putting some real Windows richedit DLLs into your system and 
configure Wine to use them. It may be that there is something about 
Japanese fonts that mess up Wine's richedit implementation.
