[Wine] application the horizontally scrolls

I have a application that hoizontally scrolls text across
a desktop in a window. This application runs under wine
but the scrolling text is incredibly slow....

How can I improve the scrolling?
Is there something at compile time I need to make sure
is present for supporting smooth scrolling horizontal graphics?

I am using 0.9.25.
