[Wine] Wine slow to open window

Hi all,

Whenever I run a program with wine, it takes around 3 minutes to open any 
window, but then runs fine at normal speed. Im using gentoo, with version 
0.9.51. It worked fine on a number of other distros, including ubuntu. My gcc 
flags are:  "-O3 -march=i686 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer" if they help

Output from winecfg:

ALSA lib seq_hw.c:457:(snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file 
or directory
