Here are my messages - I wasn't sure if a space was needed, so I tried it
both ways.

melanie at atlasinstall:~$ mv home/melanie/.wine home/melanie/.wine.old
mv: cannot stat `home/melanie/.wine': No such file or directory
melanie at atlasinstall:~$ mv home/melanie/.winehome/melanie/.wine.old
mv: missing destination file operand after
`home/melanie/.winehome/melanie/.wine.old'
Try `mv --help' for more information.

Thanks!
