I seem to recall that this option has had no effect for quite some time.  
Vitaliy submitted patches a few days ago about acquiring of devices, and they 
were accepted.  Perhaps that will fix it for you?  In that case you can 
download current GIT or otherwise wait for WIne 0.9.39.
