Thank you for the quick reply. Yes, I am using ALSA - that means I have
"ALSA" checked at the audio settings tab in winecfg.  I remember that I
tried some time ago OSS or ESD settings but no sound was produced so I
finished with ALSA.
I think it can be a problem with my OSS/ESD configuration, I will check
it after work in the evening.
